Ponche Blanco

Rich with spiced hibiscus and citrus, Ponche Blanco is a joyful punch that evokes traditional celebrations and brings friends together all season long.

Ingredientes

  • 1 oz. Almave Blanco 
  • 1 oz. Almave Ambar  
  • 1 oz Jamaica Syrup * (hibiscus) recipe below  
  • .5 oz lime juice 
  • 1.5 oz sparkling apple cider (optional)  
  • Garnish: cinnamon stick and lime and orange half moon

Spiced Jamaica (hibiscus) Syrup 

  • 1 cup water 
  • 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers (jamaica) 
  • 1 Mexican cinnamon stick 
  • 4 whole cloves 
  • 1 whole star anise pod 
  • Peel of 1 small orange ( 
  • 2 tbsp chopped crab apples or tejocote (optional ) 
  • 1/2 cup grated piloncillo (substitute dark brown sugar if needed) 
  • 2 small guava (Dried works too)

Preparación

  1. Combine all ingredients to a shaker
  2. Add ice, shake vigorously. 
  3. Double strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. 
  4. Garnish with a lime wheel or prickly pear wheel.
